There was no surprise when 7th ranked Toyama G. (16-26) was defeated at home by second ranked Shimane SM (29-10) 87-76 on Sunday. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Perrin Buford (198-1994, college: MTSU, agency: Pensack Sports) who helped to win the game recording a triple-double by scoring 20 points, 14 rebounds and 12 assists and Australian Nick Kay (206-1992, college: MSU Denver) who added 16 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. American forward Brice Johnson (206-1994, college: UNC) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists and his fellow American import center Joshua Smith (208-1992, college: Georgetown) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Shimane SM have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 29-10 record behind leader Ryukyu GK. Toyama G. lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 26 games lost. Shimane SM will meet Niigata A. (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Toyama G. will play against Shinshu BW (#6) in Nagano and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
