Regular Season Round 14: Steelers - Dreamers 88-109

Rather predictable result when third ranked Dreamers (10-6) smashed bottom-ranked Steelers (4-14) 109-88 on Sunday. Dreamers dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Steelers' 32. Dreamers had a 48-36 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Dreamers made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was American guard Randall Walko (196-1998, college: TCNJ) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds. The former international point guard Chun-Chi Lin (180-1998) chipped in 16 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Dreamers' coach Kyle Julius felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American Manny Harris (197-1989, college: Michigan, agency: Network Sports International) produced a double-double by scoring 32 points and 10 rebounds and his fellow American import center Keith Benson (211-1988, college: Oakland) added 10 points and 12 rebounds respectively for Dreamers. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Dreamers moved-up to second place, which they share with Kings. Steelers lost eighth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with 14 games lost. Dreamers will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Steelers will play against Lioneers (#4) in Hsinchu and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
