There was a small surprise in Hamamatsu where eleventh ranked San-en NP (8-31) beat 8th ranked Yokohama BC (14-26) 82-68 on Sunday. San-en NP forced 19 Yokohama BC turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Robert Carter (206-1994, college: Maryland) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals and German center Elias Harris (203-1989, college: Gonzaga, agency: BeoBasket) who added 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. American power forward Reginald Buckner (206-1991, college: Ole Miss) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and his fellow American import forward Leyton Hammonds (203-1994, college: OK State, agency: BeoBasket) scored 20 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. San-en NP maintains eleventh position with 8-31 record. Yokohama BC at the other side keeps the eighth place with 26 games lost. San-en NP will meet at home higher ranked Hiroshima D. (#5) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Yokohama BC will play against Chiba Jets and will have a slim chance for a victory.
