Date: March 20, 2022
Everything went according to plan when ninth ranked Tokyo HT (20-15) outleveled at home bottom-ranked Kanazawa (1-37) 108-67 on Sunday. At the losing side point guard Daichi Tomioka (165-1995) responded with 13 points and 5 assists and DR Congolese forward Jonathan Bamuangay (196-1999) scored 11 points and 9 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Tokyo HT have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain ninth position with 20-15 record. Kanazawa lost seventh consecutive game. They stay dead last with 37 lost games. Tokyo HT will meet higher ranked Iwate (#4) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Kanazawa will play against the league's leader Nagasaki (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
