Regular Season Round 19: Atlas - Dynamo 59-96

The game in Zahle supposed to be also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Dynamo (12-4) played at the court of 8th ranked Atlas (4-11). Dynamo smashed Atlas 96-59. They outrebounded Atlas 52-38 including a 35-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for international power forward Mohamad Haidar (203-1990, college: Michigan Tech) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 17 rebounds. The former international guard Jimmy Salem (190-1995) helped adding 25 points and 11 rebounds. At the losing side the former international guard Bassel Harfouch (193-1993, college: Alcorn St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and Elie Bedran (203-2002) scored 7 points and 11 rebounds. Atlas' coach Georges Dagher gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Newly promoted Dynamo maintains fourth place with 12-4 record. Atlas lost their third game in a row. They keep the eighth position with 11 games lost. Dynamo's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Beirut to the arena .
