Regular Season Round 43: Shiga L-Stars - Kyoto H. 96-102

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 9th ranked Shiga L-Stars (10-26) were defeated at home by tenth ranked Kyoto H. (10-29) 102-96 on Saturday. Kyoto H. made 27-of-34 free shots (79.4 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American center David Simon (208-1982, college: PFW) fired a double-double by scoring 32 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. His fellow American import forward Justin Harper (208-1989, college: Richmond) chipped in a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Guard Kiefer Isaac Ravena (181-1993) produced 19 points and 9 assists and American forward Novar Gadson (201-1989, college: Rider) added 12 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for lost side. Five Shiga L-Stars players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Kyoto H. maintains tenth place with 10-29 record. Shiga L-Stars lost their eighth game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 26 games lost. Kyoto H. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Shiga L-Stars will play again against Kyoto H. (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
