Regular Season Round 14: Steelers - Fubon Braves 91-111

PLeague+ top team - Fubon Braves (13-6) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed sixth ranked Steelers (4-14) in Kaohsiung 111-91. Fubon Braves dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Steelers' 38. They outrebounded Steelers 55-42 including 41 on the defensive glass. Fubon Braves players were unselfish on offense dishing 32 assists comparing to just 18 passes made by Steelers' players. They brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. American forward Michael Singletary (198-1988, college: Texas Tech) notched a triple-double by scoring 26 points, 15 rebounds and 12 assists to lead the effort and Ukrainian power forward Igor Zaytsev (210-1989, agency: BIG) supported him with 22 points and 9 rebounds. Singletary is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Fubon Braves players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 40 points (!!!), 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals by American Manny Harris (197-1989, college: Michigan, agency: Network Sports International) did not help to save the game for Steelers. Canadian forward Anthony Bennett (203-1993, college: UNLV) added 18 points and 7 rebounds for Fubon Braves. Fubon Braves have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 13-6 record. Steelers lost eighth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom place with 14 games lost. Fubon Braves' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Taipei Kings.
