Regular Season Round 40: Beijing D. - Ningbo R. 106-70
Date: March 16, 2022
Not a big story in a game in Beijing where 19th ranked Rockets (3-32) were outplayed by seventh ranked Ducks (23-12) 106-70. Ducks outrebounded Rockets 52-36 including a 43-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. It was a very good performance for Taiwanese-American point guard Jeremy Lin (191-1988, college: Harvard) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. American Barry Brown Jr (190-1996, college: Kansas St.) contributed with 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Ducks players scored in double figures. Serbian center Vladimir Stimac (210-1987) replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Bairun Li (186-2000) added 14 points in the effort for Rockets. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ducks have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain seventh position with 23-12 record. Rockets lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keep the nineteenth place with 32 games lost. Ducks will play against Flying Tigers (#14) in Urumqi in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Rockets will play at home against Guandong Tigers (#6) and hope to get back on the winning track.
