The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Pelita Jaya as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Pelita Jaya defeated 7th ranked Hangtuah in Jakarta 74-69. International point guard Andakara Dhyaksa (173-1992) stepped up and scored 18 points and 4 assists for the winners and American forward Dior Lowhorn (201-1987, college: USF) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. Pelita Jaya's coach Fictor Roring used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side American center Anton Waters (200-1993, college: WKU) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 14 rebounds and Fisyaiful Amir (183-1995) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Pelita Jaya (12-1) have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Hangtuah lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Bali Utd.. Hangtuah will play next round against Bali Utd. trying to get back on the winning streak. Pelita Jaya will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked NSH. It will be extra interesting game as NSH is their local rival from Jakarta.
