Regular Season Round 40: Shanghai S. - Shanxi L. 135-111

Everything went according to plan in Shanghai where second ranked Sharks (28-7) outleveled 9th ranked Loongs (20-15) 135-111. Sharks made 16-of-17 charity shots (94.1 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 34 assists. It was a very good performance for American Jamaal Franklin (196-1991, college: SDSU, agency: Slash Sports) who helped to win the game recording 26 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists. The former international swingman Haowen Guo (201-2000) contributed with 32 points for the winners. American point guard Kay Felder (175-1995, college: Oakland) replied with 27 points, 7 assists and 6 steals and center Pengfei Yan (211-1993) added 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Loongs. Five Sharks and four Loongs players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sharks maintains second position with 28-7 record behind leader Liaoning FL. Loongs at the other side keep the ninth place with 15 games lost. They share the position with Jilin NE T.. Sharks will play against league's leader Flying Leopards in Yingkou in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Loongs will play at home against Jiangsu Dragons (#18) and hope to get back on the winning track.
