Regular Season Round 42: Hiroshima D. - Nagoya DD 93-100

An interesting game for Nagoya DD (22-10) which played road game in Hiroshima against one of their biggest challengers Hiroshima D. (21-19). Third ranked Nagoya DD managed to get a 7-point victory 100-93. Nagoya DD made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Hiroshima D.'s players. American forward Coty Clarke (201-1992, college: Arkansas) notched 32 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and British Ovie Soko (201-1991, college: Duquesne) supported him with 12 points and 5 rebounds. Nagoya DD's coach Shawn Dennis used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 16 points and 16 rebounds by American center Charles Jackson (208-1993, college: Tenn Tech) did not help to save the game for Hiroshima D.. The former international point guard Ryo Terashima (179-1997) added 19 points and 6 assists. Four Hiroshima D. players scored in double figures. Nagoya DD maintains third position with 22-10 record having 6 victories less than leader Ryukyu GK. Hiroshima D. lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with 19 games lost. Nagoya DD will meet at home Shinshu BW (#6) in the next round. Hiroshima D. will play against the league's second-placed Alvark Tokyo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
