Regular Season Round 40: Jilin NE T. - Zhejiang GB. 115-111

We should mention about the upset which took place in Changchun, where higher ranked Golden Bulls (26-9) lost to tenth ranked Jilin Tigers (20-15) in a road game 111-115. Jilin Tigers dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Golden Bulls' 56 and made 18-of-18 charity shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. Jilin Tigers players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Dominique Jones (193-1988, college: S.Florida) who helped to win the game recording a triple-double by scoring 47 points (!!!), 18 rebounds and 12 assists (made all of his twelve free throws !!!). The former international guard Jinming Cui (195-1992) contributed with 19 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. The former international point guard Qian Wu (188-1994) replied with 29 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and American guard Erick Green (190-1991, college: Virginia Tech) added 22 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!) in the effort for Golden Bulls. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Golden Bulls' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Jilin Tigers moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Shanxi L. Golden Bulls at the other side keep the fourth position with nine games lost. Jilin Tigers will play against Eagles (#15) in Qingdao in the next round where they are favorite. Golden Bulls' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Hangzhou Guangsha Lions.
