Regular Season Round 18: Homentmen - Hoops 70-65

An interesting game took place in Beirut where 6th ranked Hoops (7-7) were upset on the court of ninth ranked Homentmen (3-12) 70-65 on Tuesday. The best player for the winners was Karl Zaloum who scored 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Power forward Elios Saad (202-2001) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international Habib Abdallah who recorded 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international swingman Khalil Aoun (195-1990) added 13 points and 17 rebounds respectively. Hoops' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Homentmen maintains ninth position with 3-12 record. Hoops at the other side dropped to the seventh place with seven games lost. Homentmen's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Beirut to the arena Beirut Club.
