The game in Jambyl was also quite interesting. Third ranked Qazaqstan (18-3) played at the court of 7th ranked Jambyl (4-16). Qazaqstan managed to secure a 8-point victory 73-65 on Saturday. Qazaqstan dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Jambyl's 26. Strangely Jambyl outrebounded Qazaqstan 53-39 including 20 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Point guard Daniil Seleznyov (187-1990) scored 17 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international forward Denis Degtyarev (198-1990) chipped in 11 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Four Qazaqstan players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Andrey Portnyagin (181-1994) responded with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds and guard Berik Zulharnai (183-1994) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Qazaqstan moved-up to second place, which they share with Bars. Jambyl lost tenth consecutive game. Jambyl at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the seventh position with 16 games lost. They share it with ChelSU. Qazaqstan will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Jambyl will play against Barsy 2 (#4) in Atyrau and hope to secure a win.
