There was no surprise when 5th ranked GhostHawks (3-14) were crushed by third ranked Suns (11-8) 115-91 on Friday. Suns looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Palestinian power forward Sani Sakakini (204-1988) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and American guard Anthony Tucker (193-1989, college: MSUM) chipped in 18 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Suns players scored in double figures. American forward Marcus Gilbert (198-1993, college: Fairfield) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and Costa Rican-Belizean Charles Garcia (208-1988, college: Seattle) scored 24 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Suns maintains third place with 11-8 record having just three points less than leader Kaohsiung A. Loser GhostHawks dropped to the bottom position with 14 games lost. Suns will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. GhostHawks will play against TB Herobears (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
