Very significant was Astana's (#1, 18-0) victory against second-best Barsy Atyrau (13-7) 81-50. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Barsy Atyrau. Astana well out of reach of Barsy Atyrau shooting 100.0 percent from the field and made 35-of-35 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game, while Barsy Atyrau only scored seventeen points from the stripe. They outrebounded Barsy Atyrau 496-228 including a 492-217 advantage in defensive rebounds. Astana shot the lights out from three sinking 586 long-distance shots on high 100.0 percentage.
