Regular Season Round 41: Kawasaki BT - Shiga L-Stars 103-56
Date: March 9, 2022
There was no surprise in Kanagawa where 9th ranked Shiga L-Stars (10-22) were crushed by first ranked Kawasaki BT (27-10) 103-56 on Wednesday. Kawasaki BT dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Shiga L-Stars' 28. They outrebounded Shiga L-Stars 40-28 including a 34-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Kawasaki BT looked well-organized offensively handing out 36 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Shiga L-Stars' players. American power forward Jordan Heath (208-1991, college: Canisius, agency: Octagon Europe) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and the former international power forward Nick Fazekas (211-1985, college: Nevada) chipped in 10 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Kawasaki BT players scored in double figures. American forward Novar Gadson (201-1989, college: Rider) responded with 13 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import power forward Sean OMara (208-1995, college: Xavier, agency: Inception Sports) scored 12 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kawasaki BT maintains first place with 27-10 record. Shiga L-Stars lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 22 games lost. Kawasaki BT will meet Niigata A. (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Shiga L-Stars will play against the league's second-placed Shimane SM and hope to secure a win.
