Regular Season Round 9: Bima Perkasa - Pelita Jaya 66-83

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Sakti where 5th ranked Bima Perkasa (3-8) was defeated by sixth ranked Pelita Jaya (7-1) 83-66 on Tuesday. Pelita Jaya outrebounded Bima Perkasa 50-37 including 35 on the defensive glass. American forward Dior Lowhorn (201-1987, college: USF) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 18 rebounds for the winners and point guard Reggie Mononimbar (185-1995) chipped in 21 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. The best for the losing side was American Jordan Jacks (193-1994, college: KWC) with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import David Atkinson (200-1991, college: Salem) scored 16 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Pelita Jaya. They moved-up to second place. Bima Perkasa at the other side keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. They share it with Bumi Borneo. Pelita Jaya will meet Tangerang (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Bima Perkasa will play against the league's second-placed Pacific Caesar and hope to secure a win.
