Everything went according to plan in Jiangsu where second ranked Sharks (26-6) outscored bottom-ranked Monkey Kings (2-30) 131-91 on Tuesday. Sharks dominated down low during the game scoring 100 of its points in the paint compared to Monkey Kings' 44. Sharks forced 22 Monkey Kings turnovers and outrebounded them 55-43 including 40 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 41 assists comparing to just 23 passes made by Monkey Kings' players. The best player for the winners was the former international center Zhelin Wang (214-1994) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Terry Li (190-2000) chipped in 24 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international point guard Tal Co (191-1991) who recorded 23 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists and the former international point guard Zirui Wang (189-1993) added 16 points and 5 assists respectively. Four Sharks and five Monkey Kings players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sharks keep a position of league leader, which they share with Liaoning FL. Monkey Kings at the other side stay dead last with 30 lost games. Sharks will meet at home Jilin Tigers (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Monkey Kings will play against Blue Whales (#16) in Sichuan and hope to secure a win.
