Regular Season Round 12: Kings - Lioneers 111-96

Very important is a loss of third ranked Lioneers (8-7) against fourth ranked Kings (8-5) on Sunday night. Lioneers were defeated by Kings 111-96. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Lioneers. Kings made 31-of-39 free shots (79.5 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Kings made 8 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Chris McCullough (208-1995, college: Syracuse) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import center Thomas Welsh (213-1996, college: UCLA) who added 25 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Four Kings players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Indian-Canadian center Sim Bhullar (226-1992, college: NM State) with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field) and American Nick Faust (198-1993, college: LBSU) scored 23 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Kings moved-up to second place, which they share with Dreamers. Loser Lioneers dropped to the fourth position with seven games lost. Kings will meet Pilots (#5) in the next round. Lioneers will play against Steelers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
