Second Stage Round 9: Kouchin - Exxon SC 88-82

The game between closely ranked teams ended with third ranked Kouchin's (10-10) home victory over 4th placed Exxon SC (5-15) in Amol 88-82 on Sunday. Kouchin made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The former international Amirhossein Yazarloo (196-2002, agency: Domantay Sports) nailed 23 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side and Serbian center Darko Balaban (211-1989) accounted for 19 points and 9 rebounds. Ali Kashani (186-2000) came up with 11 points, 8 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals and swingman Mohammad Hoseinpour (186) added 21 points respectively for Exxon SC in the defeat. Four Kouchin and five Exxon SC players scored in double figures. Exxon SC's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Kouchin maintains third place with 10-10 record having four points less than leader Chemidor. Loser Exxon SC keeps the fourth position with 15 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
