Top ranked Sharks (25-6) recorded its sixth loss in Changchun on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by tenth ranked Jilin Tigers (17-14) 118-108. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Sharks. Jilin Tigers forced 19 Sharks turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. 27 personal fouls committed by Sharks helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American guard Dominique Jones (193-1988, college: S.Florida) who had a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!), 20 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 blocks. Point guard Weize Jiang (182-2000) chipped in 23 points and 9 assists. Four Jilin Tigers players scored in double figures. American power forward Noah Vonleh (208-1995, college: Indiana, agency: Pensack Sports) produced 25 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import Jamaal Franklin (196-1991, college: SDSU, agency: Slash Sports) added 8 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for the guests. Sharks' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Jilin Tigers have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain tenth place with 17-14 record. Sharks at the other side still keep top position with six games lost. They share it with Liaoning FL and Zhejiang GB.. Jilin Tigers are looking forward to face Blue Whales (#16) in Sichuan in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Sharks will play on the road against Monkey Kings (#20) in Jiangsu and are hoping to win this game.
