Another interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Manila: Ginebra Kings (#8) and Rain or Shine (#10). Ginebra Kings (6-5) won against visiting Rain or Shine (3-8) 104-93. Ginebra Kings looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American forward Justin Brownlee (197-1988, college: St.John's) had a double-double by scoring 25 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Scottie Thompson (188-1993) chipped in 15 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Brownlee is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Ginebra Kings players scored in double figures. American swingman Henry Walker (198-1987, college: Kansas St.) responded with 34 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and Beau Belga (198-1986) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Rain or Shine's coach Christian Gavina rotated thirteen players in this game, but that didn't help. Ginebra Kings moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Alaska Aces. Rain or Shine lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with eight games lost.
