Regular Season Round 12: Steelers - Lioneers 87-97

There was no surprise when 6th ranked Steelers (4-10) were defeated by third ranked Lioneers (8-7) 97-87 on Saturday. Lioneers looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Indian-Canadian center Sim Bhullar (226-1992, college: NM State) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists and American Nick Faust (198-1993, college: LBSU) who added 17 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was Canadian forward Anthony Bennett (203-1993, college: UNLV) with 20 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Yu-Wei Chen (183-1999) scored 19 points and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Despite that victory Lioneers went down to fourth position due to points difference. Steelers lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom place with ten games lost. Lioneers will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Steelers will play against the league's second-placed Kings (#2) in Taipei and hope to secure a win.
