Regular Season Round 39: Akita NH - Niigata A. 92-76

There was no surprise when 11th ranked Niigata A. (5-31) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Akita NH (22-12) 92-76 on Saturday. Akita NH forced 19 Niigata A. turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Jordan Glynn (200-1989, college: SF Austin) who scored 23 points and 7 assists. His fellow American import forward Alex Davis (206-1992, college: Fresno St.) chipped in 15 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Jeff Ayres (206-1987, college: Arizona St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds and South African center Tshilidzi Nephawe (208-1989, college: NM State) added 14 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Akita NH. They moved-up to fourth place. Loser Niigata A. keeps the eleventh position with 31 games lost. Akita NH will again meet at home Niigata A. (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Niigata A. will have a break next round.
