Rather expected game when 4th ranked TB Herobears (11-8) were defeated by second ranked N.Taipei CTBC (13-7) 135-127 on Friday. N.Taipei CTBC made 24-of-27 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when N.Taipei CTBC made 7 blocks. American forward Cleanthony Early (203-1991, college: Wichita St.) fired a triple-double by scoring 48 points (!!!), 13 rebounds and 12 assists for the winners. The former international forward Mohammad Al Bachir (188-1998) chipped in 24 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Ramon Galloway (190-1991, college: La Salle) produced 29 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals and his fellow American import power forward Diamond Stone (210-1997, college: Maryland) added 28 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. N.Taipei CTBC keeps a position of league leader. Loser TB Herobears dropped to the third place with eight games lost. N.Taipei CTBC will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. TB Herobears will play against Leopards and hope to secure a win.
