Regular Season Round 33: Jilin NE T. - Jiangsu D. 99-82

There was no surprise in Changchun where 18th ranked Jiangsu Dragons (4-26) were defeated by eleventh ranked Jilin Tigers (16-14) 99-82 on Wednesday. Jilin Tigers dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Jiangsu Dragons' 36. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Dominique Jones (193-1988, college: S.Florida) who had a triple-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 11 assists. Yuxing Jiang (193-1995) chipped in 20 points. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Zhou Zhao (198-1995) who recorded 14 points and 8 rebounds and Yanru Tao (190-1999) added 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Jilin Tigers. They moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Shandong H. Jiangsu Dragons lost their eighth game in a row. They keep the eighteenth position with 26 games lost. Jilin Tigers will meet Blue Whales (#16) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Jiangsu Dragons will play against Guangsha Lions and hope to secure a win.
