Regular Season Round 40: Yamaguchi - Aisin AW 73-82

Everything went according to plan when eighth ranked Aisin AW (19-14) beat on the road 11th ranked Yamaguchi (11-24) 82-73 on Saturday. Aisin AW forced 23 Yamaguchi turnovers. Americans were the main players on the court. Worth to mention a great performance of Marcus Dove (206-1985, college: OK State) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds and forward Jordan Faison (201-1994, college: CPP) who added 16 points and 10 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Aisin AW players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Robert Sampson (203-1992, college: Georgia Tech) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 20 rebounds and center Nicholas Evans (210-1988, college: S.Indiana) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Aisin AW maintains eighth position with 19-14 record. Yamaguchi lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the twelfth place with 24 games lost. Aisin AW will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Yamaguchi will play again at home against Aisin AW (#8) and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
