Regular Season Round 39: Aisin AW - Shizuoka 75-79

The game in Aichi was quite interesting. Seventh ranked Shizuoka (19-9) played at the court of 8th ranked Aisin AW (18-14). Shizuoka managed to secure a 4-point victory 79-75 on Sunday. Strangely Aisin AW outrebounded Shizuoka 45-33 including 30 on the defensive glass. 26 personal fouls committed by Aisin AW helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American center Ryan Stephan (208-1994, college: CMU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds. Beninese power forward Muusa Dama (207-1996, college: EIU, agency: Blacktop Management) contributed with 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Five Shizuoka players scored in double figures. American forward Jordan Faison (201-1994, college: CPP) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and the other American import Marcus Dove (206-1985, college: OK State) added 6 points and 14 rebounds in the effort for Aisin AW. Aisin AW's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Shizuoka moved-up to sixth place. Aisin AW at the other side keeps the eighth position with 14 games lost. Shizuoka are looking forward to face Shinagawa (#14) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Aisin AW will play against Yamaguchi (#11) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
