Regular Season Round 10: Fubon Braves - Steelers 106-87

Very expected game when 6th ranked Steelers (4-9) were crushed by second ranked Fubon Braves (8-6) 106-87. Fubon Braves dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Steelers' 34. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The former international guard Tsung-Hsien Chang (192-1988, college: BYU-Hawaii) notched 28 points to lead the effort and Ukrainian power forward Igor Zaytsev (210-1989, agency: BIG) supported him with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Even a double-double of 19 points and 18 rebounds by American center Keith Benson (211-1988, college: Oakland) did not help to save the game for Steelers. His fellow American import swingman Taylor Braun (201-1991, college: NDSU) added 16 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for lost side. Four Fubon Braves and five Steelers players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Fubon Braves maintains second position with 8-6 record having just two point less than leader Dreamers. Steelers lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the fifth place with nine games lost. Fubon Braves will play against league's leader Dreamers in Changhua in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Steelers will play at home against Kings (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
