Regular Season Round 38: Yokohama EX - Iwate 58-68

No shocking result in a game in Tokyo where third ranked Iwate (25-12) defeated 10th ranked Yokohama EX (11-20) 68-58 on Saturday. American Kyle Richardson (200-1991, college: Portland St.) had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import forward Terrance King (198-1990, college: ESU) chipped in 18 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Guamanian-American guard Earnest Ross (198-1991, college: Missouri, agency: Haylett Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and Canadian forward Mamadou Gueye (201-1993, college: Alberta) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Iwate have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Loser Yokohama EX keeps the tenth position with 20 games lost. Iwate will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Yokohama EX will play again against the league's second-placed Iwate (#2) and hope to secure a win.
