There was no surprise when 13th ranked Toyoda (6-30) was crushed on the road by ninth ranked Tokyo HT (17-13) 97-75 on Friday. Tokyo HT forced 23 Toyoda turnovers. American power forward John Fields (205-1988, college: Tennessee, agency: Octagon Europe) had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 15 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Senegalese forward Bamba Diouf (198-1993) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Four Tokyo HT players scored in double figures. American guard Tucker Haymond (198-1994, college: W.Michigan) responded with 30 points and 5 rebounds and his fellow American import power forward Jalen Billups (200-1992, college: NKU, agency: BIG) scored 23 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tokyo HT maintains ninth position with 17-13 record. Toyoda lost twelfth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth place with 30 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
