The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Doha: Al Shamal (#5) and Qatar Club (#8). Qatar Club was defeated at home 61-71 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. The best player for the winners was Serbian-Montenegrin forward Milko Bjelica (207-1984) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds. American point guard Willie Warren (193-1989, college: Oklahoma, agency: Interperformances) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points, 7 rebounds and 12 assists. Four Al Shamal players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Aaron Parks (190-1994, college: CSUN) who recorded 20 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and Senegalese center Oumar Seck (208-1988) added 18 points and 12 rebounds respectively. Al Shamal (7-4) moved-up to fourth place. Qatar Club at the other side keeps the eighth position with nine games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
