T1 League top team - Aquas (11-3) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat sixth ranked Leopards (1-10) in Taoyuan 133-116. Aquas dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Leopards' 48. They outrebounded Leopards 58-35 including a 42-28 advantage in defensive rebounds. Aquas players were unselfish on offense dishing 31 assists. Leopards were plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a quality performance for Lithuanian center Mindaugas Kupsas (216-91, agency: BIG) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 17 rebounds and 4 blocks. The former international Long-Mao Hu (195-92, college: Chaminade) accounted for 24 points for the winning side. American Troy Williams (201-94, college: Indiana) came up with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 17 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks and American-Filipino swingman Caelan Tiongson (196-92, college: Biola, CA, agency: BIG) added 30 points (perfect behind the arc making all six shots !!!) respectively for Leopards in the defeat. Four Aquas and five Leopards players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Aquas maintains first place with 11-3 record. Leopards lost seventh consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. Aquas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Leopards will play again on the road against the league's leader Aquas (#1) in Kaohsiung to get more than just one victory in their record.
