Regular Season Round 37: Tokyo HT - Nagasaki 77-95

B3 League top team - Nagasaki (31-3) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat ninth ranked Tokyo HT (17-13) 95-77. Nagasaki players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American forward Matt Bonds (196-1995, college: St.Michael's, agency: Duran International) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 15 rebounds for the winners and American-Panamanian center Javier Carter (203-1991, college: USA, agency: Slash Sports) chipped in 19 points and 8 rebounds. Four Nagasaki players scored in double figures. At the losing side American power forward John Fields (205-1988, college: Tennessee, agency: Octagon Europe) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and the other American import forward Chris Washburn (203-1993, college: TCU) scored 10 points. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Nagasaki. Newly promoted Nagasaki maintains first place with 31-3 record. Tokyo HT at the other side keeps the ninth position with 13 games lost. Nagasaki will play against Saitama (#6) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Tokyo HT will play against Toyoda and hopes to get back on the winning track.
