Regular Season Round 36: Kagawa FA - Kumamoto V. 77-107

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Kagawa FA (21-10) in Takamatsu on Saturday night. Hosts were rolled over by second ranked Kumamoto V. (21-13) 107-77. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Kumamoto V. forced 19 Kagawa FA turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Jordan Hamilton (201-90, college: Texas) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 53 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 5 assists (on 22-of-29 shooting from the field) and the other American import swingman LJ Peak (196-96, college: Georgetown, agency: Pensack Sports) who added 26 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was Australian center Angus Brandt (208-89, college: Oregon St.) with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists and Australian forward Rhys Vague (206-96) scored 22 points and 9 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kumamoto V. maintains second position with 21-13 record having five points less than leader Kagawa FA. Kagawa FA at the other side still keeps top place with ten games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
