Regular Season Round 34: Ryukyu GK - Osaka E. 96-49

Leader Ryukyu GK delivered the twenty fifth win on Wednesday night. This time they crushed 7th ranked Osaka E. (13-19) 96-49 in Okinawa. Ryukyu GK dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Osaka E.'s 26. Ryukyu GK forced 19 Osaka E. turnovers and outrebounded them 48-33 including a 37-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American power forward Jack Cooley (206-91, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. The other American import forward Dwayne Evans (201-92, college: St.Louis, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Ryukyu GK players scored in double figures. The former international forward Ira Brown (193-82, college: Gonzaga) produced 6 points and 10 rebounds and the former international forward Eliet Kojima (198-96, college: Chaminade) added 8 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Ryukyu GK (25-3) have an impressive 15-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Osaka E. lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 19 games lost. Ryukyu GK are looking forward to face San-en NP (#11) in Hamamatsu in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Osaka E. will play at home against Akita NH (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
