An interesting game was also a 17-point surprising road defeat of 4th ranked Hiroshima D. (#4) in a game versus Toyama G. (#8) 85-68. Toyama G. looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American players dominated the game. The winners were led by forward Brice Johnson (206-94, college: UNC) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and center Joshua Smith (208-92, college: Georgetown) supported him with 13 points and 7 rebounds. Even 10 points and 5 rebounds by forward Nick Mayo (206-97, college: EKU, agency: Pensack Sports) did not help to save the game for Hiroshima D.. Forward Thomas Kennedy (201-87, college: Detroit) added 11 points for the guests. Four Hiroshima D. players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Toyama G. maintains eighth position with 12-19 record. Loser Hiroshima D. keeps the fourth place with 12 games lost. Toyama G. will again meet at home higher ranked Hiroshima D. (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Hiroshima D. will have a break next round.
