Regular Season Round 5: Pacific Caesar - Bali Utd. 54-70

There was no surprise in Surabaya where 12th ranked Pacific Caesar (1-4) was defeated by fifth ranked Bali Utd. (4-1) 70-54 on Saturday. Bali Utd. looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Lutfi Koswara (184-94) stepped up and scored 17 points for the winners and American guard Kendal Yancy (191-94, college: Texas) chipped in 16 points. American Tyron Criswell (193, college: Nevada, agency: ASEC) responded with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import Akeem Ellis (196-90, college: Coppin St., agency: BIG) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Bali Utd.. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Satria Muda. Pacific Caesar lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the fourteenth position with four games lost. Bali Utd. will meet at home bottom-ranked Bumi Borneo (#16) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Pacific Caesar will play against Evos Bogor and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
