Regular Season Round 31: Hiroshima D. - Yokohama BC 68-73

There was a surprise result when ninth ranked Yokohama BC (11-18) defeated on the road 4th placed Hiroshima D. (18-11) 73-68 on Wednesday. Yokohama BC looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Leyton Hammonds (203-94, college: OK State, agency: BeoBasket) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 7 rebounds. Czech Patrik Auda (204-89, college: Seton Hall, agency: Octagon Europe) helped adding 17 points. At the losing side American center Charles Jackson (208-93, college: Tenn Tech) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 16 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and the other American import forward Nick Mayo (206-97, college: EKU, agency: Pensack Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Yokohama BC maintains ninth place with 11-18 record. Loser Hiroshima D. keeps the fourth position with 11 games lost. Yokohama BC will meet at home league's leader Chiba Jets in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hiroshima D. will play against Toyama G. and hope to secure a win.
