Regular Season Round 5: Taiwan Beer - Pauian 83-71

Rather predictable result when first ranked Taiwan Beer (11-1) won against bottom-ranked Pauian (1-10) 83-71 on Sunday. Taiwan Beer dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Pauian's 30. They outrebounded Pauian 53-35 including a 36-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. American guard Ramon Galloway (190-91, college: La Salle) nailed 20 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and swingman Zhai Zhenhao (194-93) accounted for 11 points and 12 rebounds. American power forward C.J. Aiken (206-90, college: St.Joseph's) came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds and the other American import guard Dashaun Wiggins (188-91, college: Portland St.) added 25 points and 4 assists respectively for Pauian in the defeat. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Taiwan Beer. They maintain first place with 11-1 record. Pauian lost their fourth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. Taiwan Beer will meet Jeoutai (#4) in the next round. Pauian will play against the league's second-placed Bank of Taiwan and hope to win that game.
