Regular Season Round 8: Fubon Braves - Steelers 82-94

The most important game in the last round was the one between second ranked Fubon Braves (6-6) and sixth ranked Steelers (4-6) on Sunday night. Fubon Braves were defeated by Steelers 94-82. Steelers forced 19 Fubon Braves turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Fubon Braves' players. The best player for the winners was American center Keith Benson (211-88, college: Oakland) who scored 21 points and 9 rebounds. The former international forward Cheng-Ju Lu (194-86) chipped in 20 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. The former international guard Tsung-Hsien Chang (192-88, college: BYU-Hawaii) produced 17 points and 5 assists and Ukrainian power forward Igor Zaytsev (210-89, agency: BIG) added 12 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Steelers. Four Steelers and five Fubon Braves players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Steelers moved-up to fifth place. Fubon Braves at the other side dropped to the third position with six games lost. Steelers are looking forward to face league's leader Dreamers in Changhua in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Fubon Braves will play at home against the league's leader Dreamers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
