Regular Season Round 30: Kanazawa - Iwate 80-93

Bottom-ranked Kanazawa (0-27) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 27th consecutive match to fourth ranked Iwate (19-10) 93-80 on Saturday evening. 25 personal fouls committed by Kanazawa helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American Kyle Richardson (200-91, college: Portland St.) scored 36 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Eric McArthur Jr (192-96) chipped in 13 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Serbian forward Dusan Vicentic (204-97, college: WVWC) with 12 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Shodai Tanaka (178-97) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Five Kanazawa players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Iwate have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 19-10 record. Kanazawa at the other side still closes the standings. Iwate will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kanazawa will play again at home against Iwate (#4) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
