Regular Season Round 8: Lioneers - Steelers 92-105

Bottom-ranked Steelers managed to get the second consecutive victory. This time newly promoted Steelers won against fourth-ranked Lioneers in Hsinchu 105-92. Steelers forced 21 Lioneers turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. Lioneers were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international forward Cheng-Ju Lu (194-86) orchestrated the victory by scoring 32 points and 5 rebounds. American center Keith Benson (211-88, college: Oakland) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Four Steelers players scored in double figures. American forward Branden Dawson? (200-93, college: Michigan St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds and point guard Kuo-Hao Kao (179-98) added 19 points, 5 assists and 5 steals in the effort for Lioneers. Lioneers' coach Greg Lin rotated thirteen players in this game, but that didn't help. Steelers (4-6) moved-up to fifth place. Lioneers at the other side dropped to the second position with five games lost. Steelers will play against league's leader Dreamers in Changhua in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Lioneers will play on the road against Kings in Taipei and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
