Regular Season Round 29: Jiangsu D. - Zhejiang GB. 68-108

Very expected game when 18th ranked Jiangsu Dragons (4-22) were smashed by fourth ranked Golden Bulls (20-5) in Nanjing 108-68 on Thursday. Golden Bulls made 23-of-23 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. They also forced 19 Jiangsu Dragons turnovers and outrebounded them 49-27 including a 19-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Golden Bulls looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Serbian-American forward Nick Rakocevic (211-97, college: USC) nailed a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) for the winning side and American guard Erick Green (190-91, college: Virginia Tech) accounted for 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Four Golden Bulls players scored in double figures. Center Haoran Jiang (205-0) came up with 17 points and 7 rebounds and center Lutong Li (215-2) added 8 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Jiangsu Dragons in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Golden Bulls moved-up to second place, which they share with Shanghai S. Jiangsu Dragons lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eighteenth position with 22 games lost. Golden Bulls will meet at home league's second-placed Sharks in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Jiangsu Dragons will play against Aviators (#6) and hope to secure a win.
