Regular Season Round 7: Pilots - Fubon Braves 84-103

The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Fubon Braves' (6-5) victory over 5th ranked Pilots (3-5) 103-84 on Sunday. Fubon Braves dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Pilots' 42. They outrebounded Pilots 48-35 including 36 on the defensive glass. Fubon Braves looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. Ukrainian power forward Igor Zaytsev (210-89, agency: BIG) fired a double-double by scoring 27 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. Maltese center Samuel Deguara (230-91) chipped in a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 rebounds. American forward Devin Robinson (203-95, college: Florida) produced a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds and the other American import forward Jordan Tolbert (200-92, college: SMU) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Fubon Braves moved-up to second place. Loser Pilots keep the fifth position with five games lost. Fubon Braves will meet bottom-ranked Steelers (#6) in the next round. Pilots will play against Lioneers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
