Regular Season Round 7: TB Herobears - N.Taipei CTBC 95-113

Very significant was N.Taipei CTBC's (#3, 6-4) victory against their biggest opponent TB Herobears (6-4) 113-95. N.Taipei CTBC dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to TB Herobears' 36. N.Taipei CTBC forced 19 TB Herobears turnovers and outrebounded them 53-41 including a 40-28 advantage in defensive rebounds. N.Taipei CTBC looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when N.Taipei CTBC made 8 blocks. It was a great evening for American forward Cleanthony Early (203-91, college: Wichita St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international forward Mohammad Al Bachir (188-98) helped adding 28 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. N.Taipei CTBC's coach Yi-hua Lee used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American power forward Diamond Stone (210-97, college: Maryland) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds and the former international point guard Yu-An Chiang (174-91) scored 30 points. Five N.Taipei CTBC and four TB Herobears players scored in double figures. N.Taipei CTBC moved-up to second place, which they share with defeated TB Herobears. N.Taipei CTBC is looking forward to face Suns (#4) in Taichung in the next round. TB Herobears will play on the road against the league's leader Aquas in Kaohsiung and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
