Regular Season Round 7: Kings - Fubon Braves 102-75

Very significant was Kings' (#4, 5-4) victory against their close opponent Fubon Braves (6-5) 102-75. They outrebounded Fubon Braves 55-33 including a 43-27 advantage in defensive rebounds. Kings players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Chris McCullough (208-95, college: Syracuse) who led the winners and scored 27 points and 9 rebounds. His fellow American import center Thomas Welsh (213-96, college: UCLA) accounted for 14 points and 16 rebounds for the winning side. Four Kings players scored in double figures. American forward Michael Singletary (198-88, college: Texas Tech) came up with 22 points and 8 rebounds and Ukrainian power forward Igor Zaytsev (210-89, agency: BIG) added 19 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Fubon Braves in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kings (5-4) moved-up to third place, which they share with Lioneers. Fubon Braves at the other side dropped to the second position with five games lost. Kings will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Fubon Braves will play at home against Steelers and hope to get back on the winning track.
