Regular Season Round 26: Guangzhou LL - Shanghai S. 84-103
Date: January 15, 2022
The game in Guangzhou was also quite interesting. Second ranked Sharks (19-4) played at the court of 6th ranked Long-Lions (15-8). Sharks did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 103-84 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Long-Lions. Sharks looked well-organized offensively handing out 35 assists comparing to just 21 passes made by Long-Lions' players. American power forward Noah Vonleh (208-95, college: Indiana, agency: Pensack Sports) notched a double-double by scoring 12 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and the former international center Zhelin Wang (214-94) supported him with 16 points and 9 rebounds. Five Sharks players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 15 points, 8 rebounds and 11 assists by Taiwanese point guard Ying-Chun Chen (182-93, college: Liberty) did not help to save the game for Long-Lions. Israeli-American forward TJ Leaf (208-97, college: UCLA) added 14 points and 8 rebounds for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Sharks have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 19-4 record having just two points less than leader Liaoning FL, which they share with Guangsha L. Long-Lions at the other side dropped to the seventh place with eight games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
