There was a surprise result when twelfth ranked Jilin Tigers (9-13) edged higher ranked Aviators (14-8) in Shenzhen 103-102 on Friday. Jilin Tigers forced 19 Aviators turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American guard Dominique Jones (193-88, college: S.Florida) notched a triple-double by scoring 31 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists to lead the effort and Yuxing Jiang (193-95) supported him with 20 points and 6 rebounds. Even a double-double of 17 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists by American forward Jared Sullinger (206-92, college: Ohio St.) did not help to save the game for Aviators. Point guard Haotian Bai (194-99) added 21 points and 5 assists for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Aviators' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Jilin Tigers maintains twelfth position with 9-13 record. Aviators at the other side keep the eighth place with eight games lost. Jilin Tigers will meet at home Pioneers (#14) in the next round. Aviators will play against Monkey Kings (#20) in Jiangsu and hope to secure a win.
